Explore Different Options

When you compare retirees to those over-55 who are still working, you can see that the recent inflation shock has encouraged people to plan more carefully. Nobody wants to find themselves having to cut back more and more as they get older just to make ends meet. While saving as much as possible for retirement and careful planning are clearly important, it is also critical to consider all of your assets and explore different options, whether it is increasing your tax-free savings, downsizing, or accessing your home equity.

There will be numerous questions you must ask: How much money do I need to save? What will my retirement income sources be? What kind of retirement lifestyle do I want? What are my health-care requirements in retirement? What are my retirement long-term care requirements? What will my estate planning requirements be in retirement? What are my retirement tax considerations?

There are also a few things to consider in order to have a comfortable and enjoyable retirement. A full checklist can be found in our Getting Ready for Retirement Guide or by contacting us for more information.
